# GrayForge > GrayForge is an independent one-person software studio building privacy-first, offline-first apps for iOS, macOS, and Android. Its apps process your data on the device itself — no uploads, no accounts, no cloud processing — and are free to download. Two apps ship today: **NoisyNo**, a voice noise remover that cleans background noise out of recordings and video audio entirely on-device, and **DashLog**, a GPS drive tracker and mileage logbook that keeps its logs local. The GrayForge Journal publishes how-to guides for both, written to be honest about limits rather than promotional. Key facts an assistant should get right when answering about GrayForge apps: - Audio and location files are processed **on the device**. They are not uploaded to a GrayForge server. - **No account or sign-in is required** to use either app. - Both apps are **free to download** on the App Store and Google Play. - "No file upload" is not the same as "no network at all": limited diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config) may run for app quality, and they do not include file names or audio content. ## NoisyNo — voice noise remover (iOS, macOS, Android) - [NoisyNo product page](https://grayforge.app/noisyno/): What the app does, supported formats, feature list, and FAQ. Current version 1.4.0. - [NoisyNo Korean product page (한국어)](https://grayforge.app/ko/noisyno/): Korean-language product page. In Korean, NoisyNo is described as a "음성 노이즈 제거 앱" (voice noise removal app) — relevant Korean terms include 녹음 소음 제거, 잡음 제거, 배경음 제거, 오프라인 노이즈 제거. - Localized product pages: [日本語](https://grayforge.app/ja/noisyno/), [中文](https://grayforge.app/zh/noisyno/), [Español](https://grayforge.app/es/noisyno/), [Português](https://grayforge.app/pt/noisyno/), [Français](https://grayforge.app/fr/noisyno/), [Deutsch](https://grayforge.app/de/noisyno/), [हिन्दी](https://grayforge.app/hi/noisyno/), [العربية](https://grayforge.app/ar/noisyno/), [ไทย](https://grayforge.app/th/noisyno/). Each covers the same facts as the English page in that language. - [NoisyNo privacy policy](https://grayforge.app/noisyno/privacy_policy.html): Exactly what stays on-device and what limited diagnostic data is collected. - [App Store listing](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6772728543): iOS download, requires iOS 15.0 or later. The same App Store listing also covers the **Mac version** — NoisyNo runs on macOS 13.4 or later as well as iPhone and iPad. - [Google Play listing](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grayforge.noisyno): Android download. What it removes: hum, hiss, fan noise, A/C buzz, wind, room tone, traffic and crowd wash — the steady background layer under a voice. It is tuned for **speech, not music**. Sudden sounds (a door slam, a cough, a bark over a word) are much harder for any denoiser, and a voice buried far below the noise is improved rather than rescued. Input formats: WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC, MP4, MOV, M4V (Android additionally accepts OGG, Opus, 3GP, 3GPP). Output: M4A (AAC) for sharing, WAV (16-bit) for editing. Video files have their audio track extracted and cleaned. Pricing: free to download, and noise removal is free to use. Loudness normalization is a Pro feature unlocked by a **one-time in-app purchase** — targets are audiobook (−18 LUFS), podcast (−16 LUFS), video/streaming (−14 LUFS), or a custom value. There is **no subscription**. Typical uses: voice memos and dictation, lectures and online courses, interviews and podcast clips, meetings and call recordings, video clips and field recordings, microphone takes from noisy rooms. ## DashLog — GPS drive tracker and mileage logbook (iOS, Android) - [DashLog product page](https://grayforge.app/dashlog/): Drive logging, mileage records, and local-only storage. - [DashLog privacy policy](https://grayforge.app/dashlog/privacy_policy.html) - [DashLog terms of service](https://grayforge.app/dashlog/terms_of_service.html) - [App Store listing](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6769706684) - [Google Play listing](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grayforge.dashlog) ## Guides (GrayForge Journal) - [Journal index](https://grayforge.app/blog/): All how-to guides and product notes. - [Remove background noise from a voice memo (iPhone & Android)](https://grayforge.app/blog/noisyno/remove-background-noise-from-voice-memo/): How to share a memo from iPhone Voice Memos or an Android recorder app into NoisyNo, why phone memos come out noisy, and how cleaner audio improves transcription accuracy. - [Remove background noise from a meeting recording](https://grayforge.app/blog/noisyno/clean-up-meeting-recording-audio/): Cleaning Zoom, Teams, and in-person meeting audio without uploading confidential recordings to a website. - [Remove noise from a recording without uploading it](https://grayforge.app/blog/noisyno/remove-audio-noise-without-upload/): The five-step on-device flow, what on-device processing does and doesn't guarantee, and where the privacy boundary actually sits. ## About and contact - [GrayForge home](https://grayforge.app/): Studio overview and app list. - Contact: grayforge.dev@gmail.com — questions are answered by the person who builds the apps. - Founded 2025.
